Laura Bernhardt is a Berlin-based curator and organizer interested in creating situations to facilitate transformation. Her work is at the intersection of art and culture with design, architecture and the urban. She is especially interested in the design of transitional realms through art and culture as experimental, investigative and critical processes. She sees her role in creating and facilitating necessary frameworks and conditions. Her work sees creativity and experimentation as essential social components of democratic processes and as foundations of diversity.
She has been working and teaching internationally for festivals and on workshops of non-profit institutions, foundations, companies and universities such as the re:publica GmbH, MakeCity Festival for Architecture and urban Alternatives Berlin, NTU CCA Centre for Contemporary Art Singapore, Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen and Goethe Institutes.
She has developed and realized projects, workshops and research in France, Greece, China, Russia, Egypt, USA, Singapore, Brazil, Malaysia, Taiwan, and India.
